Shirley Mears: About Seeing God in the Hard

Shirley Mears has been married to her high school sweetheart for 47 years, she has five grandchildren, has been a radio host, tv personality, and is a savvy businesswoman.
On this episode, Shirley talks about being diagnosed with breast cancer, and the anger she felt with God. She talks about changing her diet and her thinking, as she walked the hard road of battling cancer.

Shirley encourages us to battle against negative thinking and self pity, by digging into God’s word and using his scripture to change our thinking. She talks about choosing to serve and love others during her hard season, rather than focusing on her own pain. This episode is a POWERFUL testimony of what it looks like when we choose to focus on Jesus and use His Word rather than the pain of our circumstances. Shirley reminds us that in this world we will have sorrow and pain, but we can choose to look for Jesus in the hard places. He is the hope in the hard. Don’t miss this encouraging episode!
